Bosch, Gerhard (Gerald); passed away on January 17th, 2010 in Peterborough, Ontario in his 90th year. Gerald is survived by his sons: Arend (Ronda) Bosch; grandsons Jordan and Lukas of Regina, SK; and Wennie Jelle Bosch of Peterborough. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Everdinia (Dinie) in 2006 and all 4 of his siblings from the Netherlands. Gerald and Dinie immigrated to Canada in 1958 where they settled in Elora. In 1994 they moved to Drayton Ontario, taking up residence in the Conestogo Crest Apartments. Gerald lived at the Fairhavens Nursing Home in Peterborough since 2007. Gerald was self-employed as a painter throughout his working career, however his passion was art and he spent countless hours creating works that hang in numerous homes and galleries. The family will receive friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton on Sunday, January 24th from 6:30 to 8:30pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 25th at 1pm in the Knox Presbyterian Church of Drayton, Ontario. A Service of thanksgiving and memory will also be held at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, in Peterborough on Sunday, January 24th at 1pm. Memorial donations can be made to the churches where Gerald regularly worshipped since coming to Canada.
