Bolger, Walter J. (Watt); Passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7, 2009 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Ann (nee Bruder) Bolger for 58 years. Loving father of Patricia Jenkins (Roy), Fergus, Bruce (Shirley), Ariss, Terry (Kathy) Ariss, Dave (Gloria), Elora, Tim (Connie), Ariss. Dear grandfather to Sandy (Aimee), Chris (Kerry), Derek (Sandra), Angela (Cory), Aaron (Pam), Erica (Richard), Chad (Tammy), Ryan (Shannon), Lindsay (Scott), Mark, Bethany and Amber.  Great-grandfather to Sarah, Garrett, Madeline, Alexis, Caleb, Daniel, Matthew, Nathan, Dawson, Kyla, Alyssa, Eric, Charlie.  Dear brother to Lorne (Cindy), Margaret Stinson (Ivan), Ross (Jean).  Survived also by his brother-in-law Bill Humphries.  Predeceased by his infant son Walter John Jr. (1955), grand daughter Leeanne Robyn (1985) parents Robert and Emily (nee Lasby) Bolger and his sister Mable Humphries. Walter managed and worked the family beef farm in Ariss. He was also one of the founding members of the Ponsonby Ball Association. He was also very active in both Elora and Ponsonby Minor Sports on the executive and as a team manager for many teams in the early 60’s. He served on the Wellington County School Board for 20 years as a trustee and also served as chairman.  

Walter’s family received relatives and friends on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Parish prayers were at 7pm. Prayers were offered at 9:15am on Thursday, September 10, 2009 followed by procession to St. Boniface RC. Church, Maryhill for Funeral Mass at 10am. Fr. Ronald Voisin officiating. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery, Maryhill followed by a reception at the Maryhill Community Centre. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Boniface R.C.
