BLINCO, Peggy

October 22, 1961 - April 27, 2019

Margaret (Peggy) Blinco Martens (57) died on April 27, 2019 in the Red Deer hospital after a short illness. Peggy was born on October 22, 1961 in Fergus Ontario to Jim and Shirley Blinco. She lived her childhood years in Fergus, graduating from Centre Wellington District high school. She came out west (Calgary) in 1980. Peggy was employed at Qualico homes for many years. She moved in and around central Alberta. Peggy and Cam married on October 8, 2005 in Lacombe Alberta. Peggy then found her calling as a health care aide with Alberta Health Services. A position she loved, allowing her the opportunity to care for others, as Peggy always had a way with seniors. Peggy and Cam had also made their way to Riverton Wyoming for a number of years for Cam’s work, before they settled in a home in Innisfail Alberta, where they resided. Peggy loved her 3 nephews and was invested in their growing up. She also was a pet lover. Peggy was an avid traveler to places like Australia, Alaska, Jamaica, and Hawaii. She enjoyed destinations with hot sun. She is survived by her husband Cameron Martens, her brother Jeff (Joanne) Blinco their 3 sons Riely (Courtney) their children Kennedy and Weston, Rayson (Rylan), Shael (Ashley). She was predeceased by her Mother and Father James (Jim) and Margaret (Shirley nee Bolster) Blinco, her Grandparents Sarah and Art Bolster and James and Elizabeth Blinco. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peggy’s name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundations. Peggy has been cremated and the celebration of life will be for family.
