Blair, Marshall; Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus, Ontario, on February 6th, 2012 in his 85th year. Loving husband of Eleanor (Small) of Elora. Devoted father of James and his wife Rachel Threlkeld and Mary Ann Blair, all of Hamilton. Marshall is predeceased by his first wife Annie Mary Parke (1993), his brothers James, William and Robert and his sister Martha (Meta). Marshall was born to Samuel and Mary Blair in Trillick, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland on September 23, 1927. He left Ireland in 1950 for New Zealand where he spent six years before immigrating to Canada in 1956, eventually settling in Toronto. Marshall was a long-time employee of the Queen Street Mental Health Centre. Shortly after retiring, he moved to Elora where he met Eleanor. Marshall and Eleanor enjoyed 14 years of great happiness and adventure, during which time their extensive travels included a trip around the world. In addition to travel, Marshall loved soccer, billiards, golf, boxing, poetry and music. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 55 Church Street, Elora, on Friday, February 10th, 2012, at 2pm. A reception will follow.
