BLACKWELL, Kenneth (Kenny) Robert

December 27, 1942 - October 27, 2024

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Kenneth Robert Blackwell on Sunday, October 27, 2024, in his 82 year. We take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering after a difficult battle with dementia. Ken was a hard working, fun loving, jack of all trades born on December 27, 1942, in Scarborough, Ontario, where he spent the early years of his life. As a young carpenter by trade, he took a job doing some work at the Royal Bank in Grand Valley, Ontario.  That fateful job led the city boy to the country where he made great friends and enjoyed many good times. One evening at a dance in Grand Valley, he met Donna, the love of his life. For 59 years, they built their own home in Marsville, and raised three girls, of whom he was very proud. Along with Donna he is survived by daughter Heather and husband (John Sebinagana) and children Ruby & Jaden, Beverly and husband (Tony D’Agostino) and sons Dylan and Nicholas, Amy and husband (Peter Steen) and children Corbin & Emma, along with his sister Margaret Pugh (Hugh), sister-in-law Ollie Graham and nieces and nephew Charlene, Diane, Julie and Dave. Ken is predeceased by his parents Ken and Catherine (Donaghey) Blackwell and parent in-laws Howard and Hazel (Taylor) Graham and brother-in-law Ralph Graham. A memorial service will be held at In Memoriam Funeral Services Inc. (28 Main St North, Grand Valley, ON L9W 5S7) on Saturday November 9th, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11:00am with the Service beginning at 12:00pm with lunch to follow. Ken loved a good time with friends, to watch those he loved having fun, even at the end of his life he would coax us from time-to-time to “just have a little fun.” Remember him and do something that brings a smile to your face, a good laugh, a twinkle to your eye, and share it with those around you. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to honour Ken to the Alzheimer’s Society of Dufferin County (Orangeville).

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
