Black, John Elwood “Bud”; Passed away peacefully with his wife and best friend of 60 years Lollie at his side, at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, on August 17, 2009 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Olive “Lollie” Ruth (Cawthra). Lovingly remembered by his children Sharon Boyd and her friend Russ and Larry and his wife Noreen, his grandchildren Ken, John, Greg (Dawn), Mike, Jeff (Anna), Chad (Monique), Chris (Charity) and Craig (Abby) and great grandchildren Justin, Austin, Cierra and Keira. Also survived by his 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Predeceased by his son Lloyd (2000) and brother Bill (2008). Friends were received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Thursday, August 20th from 3-5 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service was conducted at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 325 St. George St. West in Fergus, on Friday, August 21st at 2pm. Tributes to Bud were read by his daughter Sharon Boyd, nephew Rob Black and grandson Mike Boyd for Dave Worton and Anna sang a song about Angels. Pallbearers were his grandsons Ken, Chad, Chris and Craig Black and Greg, Mike and Jeff Boyd. Flower bearers were his great grandchildren Austin, Cierra and Keira Boyd.
