Beauchamp, Dr. Eric Gerald; Eric’s loving family is sad to announce his passing on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Hospice Wellington. Devoted husband for 53 years of (Rev.) Emmy (Breithaupt) Beauchamp. Cherished Dad of Shelley (Ian Macdonald), Brent (Sheryl) and Marney Beauchamp. Wise and wonderful Grandad to Beth and Alex Macdonald, Hannah-Claire, Chris and Jake Beauchamp. Dearly missed by his brother Lynn (Freda) Beauchamp and sisters Verna (Del Dougherty), Betty (the late Walt Currie) and Diane Beauchamp, as well as many nieces and nephews. Eric was Professor Emeritus in the Department of Land Resource Science at the University of Guelph, a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Soil Science and a Past President of the Rotary Club of Guelph. Friends will be received at Dublin Street United Church, 68 Suffolk St. W. on Thursday, May 3, from 1-4pm. A service in celebration of Eric’s life will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 2:30pm, also at Dublin Street United Church.
