Beatty, Robert; passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Saturday, December 6, 2008. C. Robert Beatty, of Mount Forest and formerly of Hamilton and Fergus, in his 81st year, was the beloved husband of Georgia Beatty for 30 years. From his first marriage to Margaret Mason, Robert was blessed with three daughters, Wendy Dyer and her husband David of Kincardine, Ann Pothier of Hamilton and Joyce Huget and her partner Calvin Eichler of Mission, B.C.; and his grandchildren, Aaron Dyer, Joseph Pothier, Nick Huget and Laura Huget. Loved by his sister Jean Davey of Toronto and by his many friends. Predeceased by his brother Arthur Beatty and his wife Betty. Robert retired from Dofasco in 1983 after 32 years of service. He enjoyed quiet times at home, golf, fishing and had a passion for travel throughout Tasmania and mainland Australia where he and his wife Georgia have many treasured friends. He was a quiet, loving, gentle man with a patient easy nature, loving eyes and a smile to match. Please remember him with love and laughter; he will be dearly missed. The family will celebrate Robert’s life privately. Memorial donations to C.N.I.B. or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated and may be made through the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston.
