Peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre on Sunday, December 25th, 2022 at the age of 97. Beloved husband of Melrose Batchelor and the late Shirley Batchelor (1980). Dear father of Ray, Yvonne Mason (Glenn), Floyd, Joann Williamson (Wayne), Michelle Mann and Carrie Mann (1994). Cherished grandfather of Robin, Bryan (Sarah), Shawna (Rob Sgro), Dawn (Jeff Cooper), Janell (Ivan Choo-Ket-Loung), Christopher (Malorey Voldock), Sarah (John Burke), Samantha and Joshua (Braidy). Great-grandfather of 5. Predeceased by his siblings Ila, Gladys, Elva, Ed, Bob, Ernie, Jack, Wilfred. Fred will also be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Visitation was held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Friday, December 30th, 2022 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm & 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Funeral Service was held at Community of Christ Church 23 Mill Street East Grand Valley, ON L0N 1G0 on Saturday, December 31st, 2022 at 11:00am. Spring Interment – Grand Valley Union Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Community of Christ Church, Cerebral Palsy Federation of Ontario or Community Living Dufferin would be appreciated by the family.
