27, of Erin, Ontario, passed away suddenly on December 11, 2023 due to a farming accident. James is survived by his wife Amber, children Keith, John, George, and Laura, father David (Naomi Deering), sisters Sarah, Emily (Colin) Yantzi, Miriam (Grant) Rumford, and Aimee Bailey (Quinntin Lambert). His nephews and nieces Finley, Brantley, Havily, Boden, Quill, Callan, Shiloh, Tavish, and a newborn nephew. His Papa Donald McLean, aunts and uncles Wendy (Dave) Kean, John Bailey, Scott, Susan, and Janet McLean. Predeceased by his mother Laura, brother Aaron, grandparents Keith and Helen Bailey, and Nana Catherine McLean. James was born in Hamilton, Ontario on November 7, 1996, and lived his entire life in Erin Township. At an early age he developed a love for farming and all things agricultural. He met his wife Amber at 4-H where he was an active member in many clubs. James worked many jobs in agriculture before taking over the family farm from his grandfather Keith Bailey in 2017. James and Amber welcomed their first son Keith in 2015, and they lived and worked on the family farm as they welcomed three more children. A visitation will be held at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 35 Farley Rd. Fergus, on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. Cremation will have taken place, and the family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
