ARNEW, Ethan Charles Gerald

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ethan Charles Gerald Arnew on October 4th at 28 years of age, peacefully at home in Fergus. Ethan was born in Guelph and is the son of Brian and Bonnie (Kerslake) Arnew. Brother to Jessica (Miker), Mitchell and Cameron (Cassie). Ethan was a loving uncle to Maggie and Owen. He will be fondly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Ethan is now resting in the loving arms of his grandparents- Erma and Charlie Kerslake and Carol and Gerald Arnew above. Ethan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in our hearts. He enjoyed many pastimes including paintball, baseball, wrestling, judo , soccer, bowling, movies, video games, and anime. Ethan also greatly enjoyed his time acting with the Centre Wellington Children’s Drama Club. He is a Past Master Councilor of the Guelph Chapter of DeMolay International. Ethan is a graduate of Centre Wellington District High school. He appreciated the many friends and teachers he had during his times at James McQueen Public School, J.D. Hogarth Public School and at C.W.D.H.S. He loved to work with his hands and took great pleasure in his career as a welder where he was employed at Jaylor Manufacturing. Unfortunately, Ethan has suffered a number of health issues over the past couple of years and we would like to sincerely thank our family doctor- Dr. Douglas Roach for his ongoing care and support, as well as the medical staff at Groves Memorial Hospital and Hamilton General Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus. Visitation is to take place on Saturday October 19th from 5-9pm and Sunday October 20th from 12-2:30pm with a funeral service and reception to follow. A private family interment will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery in St. Catharines. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers and gifts, donations can be made to Portage Rehabilitation Centre for Youth.
