Of Erin in his 93rd year, passed away peacefully at home on Friday September 29th, 2023 with his family by his side. Loving husband to Marion of 65 years. Father of Brad, Wayne (Mandie) and Diane (Gary). Proud grandfather of Jordan (Jake), Brittany (Darren), Rob, Mike, Ashley, Nicole and Great Grandfather of 4. Survived by sister Laura (Jack) and predeceased by his parents Edgar and Winnifred, sister Hazel (Frank) and brother Doug (Pauline), brother-in-laws Jim Quarrie, Doug Delaney and sister-in-law Betty Delaney. Duncan will be fondly remembered by brother and sister-in-law Clarence and Wilma Brown, Janet Armstrong and many nieces and nephews. Duncan will be forever remembered by his family as a very proud farmer and an exceptional family man. He was a Past President and member of the Erin Agricultural Society and a former Councillor and Reeve. Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905)877-3631 on Thursday October 5th from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday Oct. 6, 2023 at 11:00am with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Interment at Erin Union Cemetery following service. Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Erin Agricultural Society or Erin United Church would be appreciated.
