November 6, 1945 - December 17, 2023

November 6, 1945, to her passing on December 17, 2023. She is predeceased by her parents Eugene and Freda, and her brother Brian. She is survived by her brother Doug (Liz), her sister Marie (Doug) Abercrombie, and her three children Deborah (Malcolm) Archibald, Laura (Terry) Archibald and Cindy (Rick) Ford. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Cameron and Alex Robb, Kelly (Tim), Sara (Rob) and Daniel (Taylor) Josephson and Ava (Jordan) Ford. A special thank you to Ava for arranging what Linda called one of the “best days of her life” by organizing a cherished gathering of family at mini lakes following her diagnosis. Great gramma Linda loved all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and we are grateful that she was able to spend time with Miles (Ava), great grammas “Little Man”, and her two beautiful little princesses Kaci (Sara and Rob) and Miracle (Daniel). A special thank you to Pat Ullman Linda’s neighbour and friend who helped in so many ways and is truly a special friend to Linda and the family. She had a great circle of friends from work and started the “Moore girls Club” who met regularly to reminisce. She will be missed by “the girls” Marion, Carol, Vicki, Betty, Sandra, Karen, Irene, and Kelsie (recently passed). She loved to travel and covered a lot of ground including a trip to Greece with two of her granddaughters, a long bus trip around the U.K with her friend Marion and to Russia with her beloved father Eugene. She made many trips to Nanaimo to visit her childhood friend Bev (Mo). She was a great lover of animals and rescued many who became her beloved pets. Thank you to the staff and volunteers at Waterloo Hospice for making her final days comfortable and showing her much compassion and care. In keeping with her wishes a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com). In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Homeward Bound Rescue, Grey Bruce Animal Shelter, Guelph Humane Society or any rescue/shelter of the donors choosing in her memory. A tree will be planted in memory of Linda E. Archibald in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
