Alexander, James (Jim) David; Passed away, peacefully, in his sleep, at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Jim Alexander, in his 88th year, was the beloved husband of Kay Alexander, for 63 years. He was the dear father of Robert (Kathy), Ann, Dave (Lisa), Mary “Betc”, Bill (Donna), Patti and John (Sam). Jim was the proud grandpa of sixteen grandchildren: Andrena (Pete), Robbie (Shirley), Shelby (Jahmael), Jordan, Matthew, Brandy, Thomas, Graham, Eve, Shannon, Samantha (Douglas), Jade, Riley, Gabe, Mylez (Sid), and Candice, and he was the great-grandpa of fifteen great-grandchildren: Kytan, Katrina, Katie, Heather, Quinn, Reese, Kaden, Andre, MJ, Nevaeh, Nicholas, Eden, Rebecca, Alexander and Trent. Jim is survived by three sisters Jean Rogers, Bette Barclay and Joan Louttit, and by nephews, nieces, cousins and many close friends. He waspredeceased by one brother Bill, by three brothers-in-law and by his parents William and Mary (nee MacGregor) Alexander. Friends were invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Rockwood Chapel, 117 Guelph St., Rockwood, on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service was held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 325 St. George St. W., Fergus, on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. Spring Interment, McKee Cemetery, Belwood.
