Adams, Marian Claire (nee Philp); 1925 – 2013 of Guelph and formerly of Palmerston passed away at the age of 88 on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Hospice Wellington, Guelph. Beloved wife of the late David Robert Adams (2013) for 63 years. Cherished mother of the late Glenn Adams (2000), Mary Lynn and her husband Henry Benjamins of Waterloo, the late Kathryn Reinders (2010) and Bill Reinders of Waterloo and Karen and her husband John Whitworth of Guelph. Loving grandma of Michelle Bradley, Michael and Alaina Benjamins; Keri Reinders and friend Tyler Smith, Matthew Reinders; Katelyn Whitworth and Andrea Whitworth. Great Grandma of Paige, Jaidyn, Addison and Mya. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. After a 30 year teaching career, Marian retired in 1985. She played an active role in the community through her extensive volunteer work and long involvement in Carry On Women’s Institute. Predeceased by her sister, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gladys and John Benson, Janella and Charles Mallett, Florence and Ted Fuller, Beth and Duncan McArthur, Marion and Jim Vet and Mary Adams. The family received friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston on Monday, December 30, 2013. Rev. Calvin Brown conducted the funeral service in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment at Palmerston Cemetery.
