Adams, David Robert; of Guelph and formerly of Palmerston passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Guelph General Hospital. Beloved husband of Marian (Philp) Adams for 63 years. Dear father of The late Glenn Adams (2000), Mary Lynn and her husband Henry Benjamins of Waterloo, the late Kathryn Reinders (2010) and Bill Reinders of Waterloo and Karen and her husband John Whitworth of Guelph. Cherished grandpa of Michelle Bradley, Michael and Alaina Benjamins, Keri Reinders, Matthew Reinders, Katelyn Whitworth and Andrea Whitworth. Great Grandpa of Paige, Jaidyn, Addison and Mya. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Dave was born in Wallace Township where he farmed for many years. In 1972 he left the farm, moved to Palmerston and worked at Borg Textiles in Elmira for 18 years. He enjoyed curling, playing cards and anything that involved horses. Predeceased by sisters, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Janella and Charles Mallet, Florence and Ted Fuller, Beth and Duncan McArthur, Marion and Jim Vet, Mary Adams and John and Gladys Benson. The family received friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston on Wednesday evening, June 5, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. Rev Calvin Brown conducted the Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Palmerston Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
