Grade 8 elementary students visited Norwell District Secondary School for Grade 8 Technology Days on Dec. 11 and 12.
The students from Drayton Heights Public School, Minto Clifford Public School and Palmerston Public. were led through six stations by Norwell senior students who are currently in a placement in an elementary school. The program gave the co-op students the opportunity to see what it is like to lead a field trip.
The six stations included automotive, communication, construction, cosmetology, manufacturing, and a presentation by Skills Ontario. Grade 8 Tech Days allows elementary students to experience what is on offer in high school.
