Northern Lights Canada fights hunger while celebrating 30th anniversary

Employees at Northern Lights Canada are turning the tables on hunger for the employment service provider’s 30th anniversary.

Employees across Ontario celebrated on June 4 and decided what each local community needed to fulfill the goal of eradicating hunger.

“What we decided organizationally was to renew our commitment to corporate social responsibility,” said employee liaison Katherine Kipper.

“We thought the best way to celebrate our success and to really show our gratitude to the communities that we work in is to actually get in there and give back.”

The Fergus branch assisted Meals on Wheels with food deliveries, helped package and portion food at J.D. Hogarth Public School, and cooked meals at the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

“The food bank plays such a critical role in the community and keeping the community thriving,” said Kipper.
