North Perth councillor seeks PC nomination

The local chapter of the Progressive Conservative party will be electing its candidate for next fall’s provincial election on Nov. 30 at 9:30am at the high school in Listowel.

Randy Pettapiece, currently serving his second term as a councillor in the municipality of North Perth, has put his name forward for the candidacy.

He has been married to his wife, Jane, for 37 years. Together they have three sons and four grandchildren, and have operated a decorating business since 1993. They have lived outside of Monkton for about 35 years.

Pettapiece has served as past president for the PC Association for Perth-Wellington and as campaign manager for PC candidate for John Rutherford in 2007.

He is chairman of the Atwood sewer servicing project, has served on various committees for North Perth and is a past member of the Monkton fire board.

Pettapiece also sits on the board of directors for the North Perth Community Hospice and  has served with the local Lions Club for 23 years, including various executive positions.
