The Volunteer Centre of Guelph-Wellington, in partnership with the County of Wellington, is currently taking nominations for the sixth annual County of Wellington Volunteer Appreciation awards.
The deadline for submissions is March 30.
The awards recognize and honour dedicated volunteers who give freely of their time to contribute to the growth of local nonprofit and charitable organizations in Wellington County.
The recipients demonstrate generosity of time and inspire others to make a difference in the community, making Wellington County a more enjoyable place to live, work and play.
There will be one selected recipient representing each municipality, including Puslinch, Guelph-Eramosa, Centre Wellington, Wellington North, Erin, Minto and Mapleton.

Winners are announced at county council in April.
