Recruitment contribution – Mapleton Mayor Gregg Davidson presented the Minto Mapleton Health Professional Recruitment Committee with a $10,000 cheque on behalf of the township on May 16.

ARTHUR – Arthur Canadian Reformed Church recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of its inaugural service, which was held on Feb. 20, 2022.

Skylynn Boutique – A grand opening for Skylynn Boutique was held on May 2, with local dignitaries and members of the business community on hand.

Garden fun – Thirty students learned about horticulture in the Clifford and District Horticulture Society’s Let it Grow program.

Over the last five years, Clifford youth and families have literally put down roots in the community by planting almost 100 trees.

Curl for a Cause returned in 2023 for its 15th year of supporting local charities in our community and it was a resounding success.

PUSLINCH - Work on road improvements on Lake Road (Wellington Road 32), from the MTO carpool Lot to Concession 2 in the Township of Puslinch, began May 23. The work is being performed by Cox Construction Ltd. of Guelph. 

 CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command and local Legion Branches, including Branch 275 Fergus, have been generous supporters of Groves Hospital Foundation for over two decades, and in return the hospital has reserved two parking spots for war veterans. 

The final cut - On May 20, Frank Moretti of Moretti’s for Men in Fergus, held a thank-you party for his loyal customers and St. Andrew Street neighbours on the occassion of his retirement.
