Jan Varner was recently elected to a one-year term as president of the board of The Centre for Rural Leadership (TCRL), following the organization’s recent annual general meeting at the Ontario AgriCentre.
Varner is currently the chief executive officer of United Way for Kitchener-Waterloo and area. She has been an active TCRL board member since 2004 and also chair of the TCRL’s business development committee.
Also elected to one-year terms on the executive committee are: Rob Hall (Wallenstein Feed) as vice-president and treasurer, Jackie Fraser (AgCare) as secretary, and Rob Hannam (Synthesis Agri-Food Consulting) as past-president.
The Centre for Rural Leadership offers programming to develop and support current and emerging leaders.
