HILLSBURGH – Will You Still Love Me in the Morning? is the question on the minds of a houseful of unexpected guests in the farce opening at Century Church Theatre, Hillsburgh, on May 24.
Jeremy and Celia arrive home early from their honeymoon, unfulfilled on many levels, to find their house occupied.
Complications build up thick and fast in a time-honoured farce style, as Jeremy desperately tries to save his job, his marriage and his sanity.
The play is presented by Century Theatre Guild, the recent recipient of many awards and nominations at the ACTCO Festival.
“I’ve enjoyed farce all my life,” said director Jo Phenix,
“And I have never come across a funnier one than this. I can guarantee fun and laughter from start to finish – and beyond – as our young couple try to survive an evening of escalating mayhem.”
The show features a cast of experienced performers familiar to local audiences.
Greg Allen and Dani Rosenbaum play the honeymooners, with John Lefebvre, Angie Sapalovski, Harry Bishop and Lindsay Grisebach as the interloping couples.
Neville Worsnop appears as Syd, the inept plumber who is creating havoc in the cellar.
Erin Montgomery as stage manager and Owen Armbruster as assistant stage manager round out the team.
The show plays May 24 to June 2, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2:30pm.
On June 1 the Erin Arts Foundation marks its 20th anniversary with a special Gala Night at the theatre.
Tickets for all performances are $20, and may be reserved by calling the box office at 519-855-4586.
