ELORA – A new CoRe+ EV Charging Station has been installed in Elora.
The charging station, located in the public parking lot off Water St. E. and Clyde Street, east of Metcalfe Street, was donated by Chevrolet Canada, after the village was named Chevrolet’s Most Roadtrippable Town in Canada.
The village was awarded this honour when the Shaver family from Huntsville documented their journey to Elora in 2019.
“It was a honour to be named Most Road Trippable Town in Canada last year by Chevrolet Canada,” said Centre Wellington Mayor Kelly Linton. “We are proud to offer exciting and unique experiences to the thousands who come to visit our town every year.
“The addition of another EV Charging Station in Elora will offer visitors the convenience of high-speed charging and reduce the overall environmental footprint in our community. Thank you Chevrolet Canada for this incredible donation.”
“Chevrolet Canada is proud to donate this electric vehicle charging station to the Town of Elora, after its recognition in our Most Road Trippable Town in Canada program,”
“This installation prepares Elora well for all-electric road trips of the future. As we continue on our path to electrification at Chevrolet, vehicles like the Bolt EV, that set the benchmark for an affordable, long-range EV, will be the perfect road trip match,” said George Saratlic, national marketing manager of Chevrolet Canada.
