Wellington County OPP officials would like to advise the public that effective March 28, all police operations and administration have been relocated to the new North Wellington Operations Centre here.
The Mount Forest OPP detachment no longer offers any public administrative services Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm with the opening of this new facility.
The new OPP police office address is: Wellington County OPP, North Wellington Operations Centre, 6725 Wellington Road 109, RR1, Palmerston, Ontario, P.O. Box 729, N0G 2P0 (telephone 519-343-5780).
For members of the public who require police assistance and attend the Mount Forest detachment, they can access the police emergency telephone located on the outside of the building for immediate help or attend the North Wellington Operations Centre for assistance.
For emergencies requiring police, always dial 911. For non-life threatening assistance, please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
The new OPP North Wellington Operations Centre completes the final phase of the County of Wellington OPP facility re-development project.
Officials say the larger, state-of-the-art facility enhances community policing needs in the northern area of the county and will ensure the long-term viability of OPP policing services for all citizens of Wellington County.
