Wellington County staff have called the parents of 50 children, to let them know that the Willowdale Child Care and Learning Centre has re-opened at 58 Dawson Road.
“The County of Wellington and the City of Guelph worked very hard to get the new location up and running as soon as possible,” said Warden Chris White. “I want to thank Gord and Anna Marie Oliver, the owners of 58 Dawson Road, for their cooperation and help during the relocation of Willowdale. Their community mindedness is much appreciated.”
County chief administrative officer Scott Wilson added, “The county would like to thank the parents of the children enrolled at Willowdale for their patience during this unexpected move to the new centre.”
The move became necessary when some asbestos was found at Willowdale and it was closed for inspection and for safety reasons.
Parents can contact Luisa Della Croce, director of child care services, at 519-827-7205 with questions about the new child care centre.
