New theatre group - Centre Wellington Theatre Productions’ (CWTP) first production is Charlotte’s Web, based on the book by E.B. White, and adapted by Joseph Robinette. This play, about a very special friendship between Wilbur the pig and Charlotte the spider, is a classic, appropriate for audiences of all ages. Production dates are Nov. 22 to 24, with both matinee and evening performances available. Auditions for Charlotte’s Web will take place at Melville United Church in Fergus on July 15 and 17 from 7 to 9pm, with callbacks on July 21 at 2pm. The cast is approximately 16 characters, ranging in all ages. Audition material will be cold readings from the script and no appointment is required. Centre Wellington Theatre Productions (CWTP) is a new community theatre group organized and operated by theatre veterans Denise Gismondi, Simon Leibovitz, and Jennifer Milne. Combined, they have over 125 years’ experience in community theatre, mostly in the Centre Wellington area. With its motto of “branching out,” CWTP will offer new community theatre opportunities for actors, directors, stage crew and technical-minded individuals with little or no theatre experience to those who are veterans “treading the boards.” For more information on Centre Wellington Theatre Productions, contact cwtprod@gmail.com or visit the Centre Wellington Theatre Productions Facebook group page.
