NeighbourWoods invites Centre Wellington residents to the Harris Room in the Elora Centre for the Arts for a talk about the emerald ash borer.
Dr. Gard Otis, professor of environmental sciences at the University of Guelph, will be discussing how that beetle is devastating the ash tree population in southern Ontario.
Tree talk coordinator Alex Watts, urged residents to come out, “as ash trees are quite prominent in Elora.”
The Fall Tree Talk is one of three annual events provided by the local environmental group. This one is on Sept. 22 at 7:30pm. Entry is $5, and it is free for NeighbourWoods members. Memberships will be available at the door for $10.
Those wishing to attend should contact Watts at 519-846-0841 or by email at awatts@eloraenvironmentcentre.ca.
