Good soil quality is the foundation for a healthy tree and is so easily compromised in urban spaces.
That is the topic of the Nov. 8 Tree Talk: Soil remediation for healthy trees.
NeighbourWoods will present Shawn Mahew-Hammond, master’s student at Ryerson University.
During the talk, he will explore the importance of the soil medium for tree growth, common soil quality issues, soil remediation technologies and current soil research being undertaken at Ryerson University.
The presentation takes place at 7pm at the Elora Centre for the Arts in the Harris Room. Admission is $5 or free for NeighbourWoods members.
