MINTO – The Norwell District Secondary School girls curling team competed in the 20-team OFSAA tournament, featuring the best girls high school teams in the province, in Sarnia from March 18 to 21.
Norwell finished with three wins and one loss in their pool, with wins over high schools from Milton, Peterborough, and Sault Ste Marie, while their only loss was against the host team from Sarnia.
The team also achieved the highest last-stone-draw-to-the-button score in the girls tournament, but unfortunately, in the quarterfinals, the Norwell curlers lost to a strong team from Frontenac Secondary School in Smith Falls.
