The Arboretum is offering three series of weekly programs of interactive, hands-on learning for all ages.
Each week a new “natural world” topic will be explored through activities and nature walks. Most programs will take place in Gosling Wildlife Gardens.
Advance registration is required by calling 519-824-4120 extension 52358. The cost is $10 per person per month, and children under 12 are free. The June Series of Wednesdays starts at 8:30pm. Programs include: tree identification, bird behavior, amphibians and reptiles, and evolution of plants.
The July Series for Wednesdays also starts at 8:30pm. The programs include: maple trees, geology, butterflies and moths, and pheromones and other natural chemicals, and understanding nature’s colors and shapes.
The August Wednesday series runs from 6:30 – 8pm. Its programs include orienteering, medicinal plant properties, fungi, and wildlife gardening.
