Museum exhibit celebrates 25th anniversary of Elora Cataract Trailway

In celebration of 25th anniversary of the Elora Cataract Trailway Association (ECTA), the Wellington County Museum and Archives newest exhibit Rails to Trails explores the stories of the development of the ECTA trailway and the ongoing efforts to keep it thriving in its communities.

“The Elora-Cataract Trailway has contributed in countless ways to the fabric of the communities through which it passes for approximately 25 years,” said Rick Goodfellow, one of the founding members of the ECTA.

Curatorial assistant Amy Dunlop  added, “On display are paintings, objects and photographs, stories and interactive elements where the public can contribute their own memories and stories into the space.”

The public is invited to an opening reception on June 4 from 1:30 to 3:30pm at the Wellington County Museum and Archives. The galleries are open weekdays from 9:30am to 4:30pm and on weekends from 1 to 5pm.

Admission is by donation.
