Engineer Dale Murray has been reappointed to the source water protection board for Centre Wellington.
Centre Wellington Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj made that announcement at a committee of the whole meeting Dec. 5.
Murray has already served a four year term on that board.
That group and others across the province were created in the wake of the Walkerton water tragedy under the Clean Water Act and Source Water Protection.
The government passed the Clean Water Act to protect the sources of municipal drinking water supplies throughout Ontario.
The local board is preparing a plan for four years and Ross-Zuj said it expects to release the results of that study sometime next year.
Ross-Zuj noted that public works director Ken Elder and planner Brett Salmon are also part of the board.
Council was unanimous in approving his appointment.
