It looks like All Treat Farms will get limited hook-ups to municipal water and sewer services.
Recently Wellington North council passed a bylaw allowing limited services for the company known for its industrial composting facility at the southern edge of Arthur.
Works Superintendent Gary Williamson said he had met with the owners as a result of work in Arthur that upgraded services in the Highway 6 and the County Road 109 area.
That work included the intersection of County Road 109 and Charles Street – in front of the All Treat. “Because of the nature of the business, we felt there should be a bylaw outlining what service would be provided,” Williamson said.
Essentially, the service would be for the office areas and fire protection – not for industrial purposes such as wetting the compost.
