Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system that can lead to loss of balance, double vision and even paralysis. Many of the 75,000 Canadians who are living with MS are women – several of whom are mothers.
That is why the annual carnation campaign is held each year on the Mother’s Day weekend.
Through the sale of carnations, the Wellington County MS chapter raises funds for local programs and services, as well as research.
The annual Carnation campaign in support of the Wellington County Multiple Sclerosis Society chapter will be selling assorted bouquets and pots of carnations.
Members of the public are invited and encouraged to purchase carnations, just in time for Mother’s Day on May 8 and 9 at Stone Road Mall and LCBO outlets and Beer Stores located in Guelph and Wellington County.
The Wellington County MS chapter relies on community support of its fundraising campaigns in order to help close to 200 families in the area.
