MOUNT FOREST – Mount Forest Patriots defenceman Cameron Lytle is one of eight Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) members chosen to receive a $6,000 bursary from the Diary Farmers of Ontario (DFO) toward their post-secondary education.
Chosen athletes display leadership in building strong and healthy communities, demonstrate high acedemic achievement and have a dedication and passion for hockey, states a press release.
DFO CEO Cheryl Smith stated, “We are proud to partner with OHA to recognize these eight student-athletes who exemplify a strong commitment to school and sport.”
OHA CEO David Leger stated, “We understand that while the players are participating in our programs that in many cases, they are also balancing the academic demands for their future.
“The bursary program aligns with the OHA purpose to grow individuals and communities through hockey and our players will benefit immensely from this bursary program and partnership,” Leger added.
