Looking for inspiration, a feast for the eyes, colour, wildflowers, vegetables, perennials, vines, hosta, shrubs, trees, blooms, all looking good without having to weed?
It’s easy. Come to the Mount Forest Town and Country Garden Tour on July 11.
Nine very different gardens are featured for a self-guided tour from 10am to 4pm.
Mount Forest and area is a wonderful environment for flowers. Here, due to the reliable snow cover visitors may even find a number of choice ornamentals in bloom that they had always dreamed of growing, but considered less than hardy in the area.
The tour, organized by the Mount Forest Horticultural Society will include perennial gardens, a large vegetable garden with produce available to purchase, beginning gardens and mature, well-established gardens.
Refreshments are available at a number of gardens. Everyone is welcome.
Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for non-members and are available at M&M Meat Shop, 160 B Main St. N. in Mount Forest and at WildThings Plant Farm, 9688 Baseline Rd., Minto off Hwy 89, 7km west of Mount Forest.
