MOUNT FOREST – The 2023 Mount Forest Fireworks Festival will feature four days of fun for all ages from July 13 to 16.
The event kicks of July 13, with a ribfest from 6 to 9pm at the Mount Forest Sports Complex. The licensed event will feature live music and a silent auction. Proceeds will be donated back to the community in memory of Bill Walker.
July 14 events begin at 5pm and include a beer garden, midway, demolition derby and a mini fireworks show.
Saturday, July 15 is the big day at the festival, kicking off at 8am with the popular classic car show in the downtown area, a firefighters breakfast and farmers market.
Events throughout the day include an antique fire truck show, displays at the Mount Forest Museum and Archives, drift trikes, helicopter rides, a motorcycle show and shine, Legion hospitality tent, Roberts Farm Equipment Tractor Show, food trucks, axe throwing, obstacle course, gladiator jousting, kids activities, Legion chicken dinner and the always spectacular fireworks display beginning at 10pm at Festival Park.
Other Saturday special events include a live wrestling show, a circus workshop and an FMX stunt riding demonstration.
Live music at the festival will be provide by Upside of Maybe, Sam and Robin, Jaunita Wilkins, Dan Badger and Jessica Sole.
The event winds up on July 16 with a touch-a-truck show and midway at Festival Park and a Soap Box derby on Princess Street.
