A West Grey man has been charged following a collision between a motorcycle and the tractor he was driving.
On July 4 at about 4pm, emergency crews responded to the collision on Concession 6 North in Wellington North.
Police say a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling south on Concession 6 North when it approached from behind a New Holland tractor and wagon also travelling south.
As the motorcycle moved to the northbound lane to pass, the tractor initiated a left turn into a private driveway, directly across the path of the motorcycle.
Police say the motorcycle struck the hay wagon on the left side, causing the driver to fall off.
The motorcycle driver was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and was later airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital for further treatment.
Brandon Stevens, 23, of West Grey, was charged with careless driving and operating an unsafe combination of vehicles. He is to appear in Guelph court on Aug. 16.
