A police patrol blitz along Highway 6 in Puslinch Township will continue until July 17.
“[Wellington County OPP] is taking the proactive step to tell the public that they will focus patrols on Highway 6 south from Highway 401 to Maddaugh Road in Puslinch Township,” police stated in a press release.
The 11-day blitz, which started on July 7, will include increased OPP enforcement and education through Morriston, a designated Community Safety Zone where fines are doubled.
Police will be addressing distracted driving, speeding, following too close, aggressive driving, all of which police say are factors in collisions.
