MINTO – The Town of Minto, Minto Chamber of Commerce and local downtown revitalization committees, Harriston Rising, All Aboard Palmerston, and Clifford Connects want to help area residents prepare for the holiday season with three incredible shopping nights, located in each downtown centre.
Shoppers can expect to find exclusive promotions at participating businesses as well as a Minto Makers’ Market featuring various vendors offering homemade artisan crafts.
The festivities will kick off with Harriston Rising’s Ladies’ Night on Nov. 16 from 4 to 8pm.
The street will be closed during the event, with flair bartenders serving speciality cocktails from local businesses, as well as fire and glow performances.
Shoppers are welcome to relax at outdoor firepits, listen to festive music by a local DJ, and enjoy desserts at one of the food trucks attending.
On Nov. 24 from 4 to 8pm, residents and visitors are welcome to continue the festivities at All Aboard Palmerston’s Kris Kringle Market, complete with an even bigger makers’ market than previous years.
Families can stop for photo opportunities with holiday characters, including Santa Claus and the Grinch and enjoy holiday music, warm up at the outdoor firepits and grab dinner or a snack at food trucks in the streets.
The holiday shopping events conclude at Clifford Connects’ Christmas in the Street event on Nov. 26, from 5 to 7pm, right before the Clifford Santa Claus Parade.
In addition to downtown shopping and a makers’ market, Celebration Square will be bustling with music, horse and wagon rides, balloons, food trucks, performances by a glow artist, and more.
After the parade, families are encouraged to stay for photos with Santa Claus, treat bags and a barbecue hosted by the Clifford Firefighters Association.
At each event, the first 100 visitors to check in at the Minto information booth will receive a free Minto Shopping Bag and be entered for a chance to win one of 20 available $25 Think Minto First gift cards sponsored by the Minto Chamber of Commerce.
