Councillors here are considering this year’s 2010 Operation Clean Sweep campaign as part of this year’s Pitch In Canada week from April 19 to 25.
Mayor David Anderson said he believes council has taken part in similar campaigns. He said the school was involved before, with students going out during recess to playgrounds pick up and clean up. Council has taken part in the past as well at community centres.
“It’s amazing how easy it is with the numbers how quickly it can be cleaned. And, it’s a lot of fun,” Anderson said.
He suggested councillors set a date following and make an announcement at the next meeting.
