The Minto Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the annual Minto Business Achievement Awards.
The chamber has hosted the awards banquet and ceremony every May since 2009. In 2010 the chamber commissioned local artist and blacksmith Mike Shannon to hand-forge five one-of-a-kind trophies to be presented to the winners.
Residents throughout Minto nominate deserving businesses and organizations. All nominees receive a complimentary ticket to the banquet which this year will be held at the Roundhouse Restaurant at the King Hotel on May 16. Nominations are currently being accepted for the awards in the following categories:
– Harriston Home Hardware Outstanding Organization Award;
– Larry Grummett Insurance Business Community Service Award;
– McLaughlin Financial Group Employer Excellence Award;
– Wightman Telecom Business Innovation Award; and
– Minto Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award.
