GUELPH – The Guelph Youth Music Centre (GYMC) is hosting the Medieval Family Day Festival, Knights Fest, in partnership with Blackthorn Productions and supported by TD.
The festival takes place on Feb. 19 from 10am to 3pm.
“This is a free event with activities for everyone to enjoy,” said GYMC executive director Samantha Zimmerman.
“Families will be able to participate in displays, costumes, entertainment, games and activities. All to the theme of the Medieval and Renaissance eras,” she states in a press release.
As in previous years, there will be many activities for people of all ages to enjoy. These include:
– weapon and armour demonstrations;
– medieval and renaissance dancing;
– magic by Gil; and
– artifact displays.
Other interactive games will also be available, such as hit the knight, heraldry, knighting ceremonies, and photo ops with the Knights Fest King and Queen.
