Centre Wellington Mayor Kelly Linton has partnered with Canadian Blood Services to help ensure lifesaving blood products are available to hospital patients in need.
Linton has adopted the Fergus blood donor clinics on June 19 and July 31 and committed to recruit new donors and fill appointments to help collect 100 blood donations at each of the clinic.
“I know that summer time blood donor clinics are more challenging for Canadian Blood Services to get donors out, due to family vacations, and other commitments” Linton said.
The June 19 clinic runs from 2:30 to 7:30pm at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus.
From 2:30 to 3:30pm Mayor Linton will be on hand to donate blood, and to greet and thank donors for their lifesaving donation.
