Massive pumpkin – Laurel Parker sits atop “The Great Pumpkin” at the community pumpkin weigh-off to wrap up Stone United Church’s Foodgrains Growing Project on the weekend of Oct. 17 and 18. This is the second year Stone United Church in Guelph-Eramosa has raised money for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank in conjunction with Rockwood and Barrie Hill United Churches. The Stone United project has generated $5,500 in donations thus far. Every dollar raised is matched by the federal government three to one, for a total impact of $22,000.
