The annual Terry Fox Run was held at Maryborough Public School on Sept. 25.
All the students and even a few parents were involved. All had a blast as volunteer parents encouraged and handed out apples, which were provided by the SCA.
Students supported the run by bringing in “toonies for Terry.” The event raised $259 for cancer research. Participants walked, jogged or ran around the school walking track. Maryborough PS’ own Mrs. Morrison arranged this year’s Terry Fox run.
The run is done in memory of Terry and all the kids going through the same things as Terry Fox. The school thanks all of the parents and children who contributed their time to come and run.
