Marshall Dane coming to Fergus Grand Nov. 3

FERGUS – Marshall Dane is coming to Fergus, and he’s bringing his band and  ASL interpreter/signer Vera Goudie.

Marshall Dane has been writing fine songs for some years.

In an earlier music career he was known in the country music world.   He moved away from the genre-specific  category to one he considers way more inclusive – the “Americana” world where he’s found a place he calls home.

Around the same time Marshall was driven by a love for the deaf community.

Staying true to this love, Marshall has been learning the ASL language and regularly brings along his friend Vera Goudie to add ASL interpretation.

“This song was written because of my bond with, and love for the deaf community – a community who has provided blessings on my heart since I started learning ASL in 2017.

No Need To Speak expresses to people that they are heard through their hearts and through eyes that see who they are.

“And that even in the hearing world, oftentimes there is no need to speak because what needs to be said can be seen, and more importantly, felt,”Dane said in a press release.

He and his band – will be at the Fergus Grand Theatre on Nov. 3 at 2pm for a moving concert for the whole family.
