MAPLETON – In response to the ongoing surge in area COVID-19 cases, Mapleton Township will no longer accept bookings for municipal halls.
“As we see the second wave of COVID-19 cases increasing … this proactive measure is needed to ensure the safety of all citizens and township staff,” states a Nov. 25 press release from the township.
Officials say current bookings can proceed if they comply with public health guidelines at the time of the event.
The township is also reminding residents the municipal office outside Drayton is closed to the public and offering appointment-only visits.
To book an appointment call 519-638-3313.
Township officials say updates will be posted on the township website or on its social media accounts.
