On Jan. 16 at 7pm, Jill Simpson will address why the brain doesn’t function effectively with age in her presentation Maintain Your Brain as You Age at the Eden Mills Community Hall.
During this fun and entertaining evening people will learn about the latest scientific discoveries on how best to maintain cognitive health throughout their lifetime.
Both an audio-visual presentation and a hands-on workshop, Maintain Your Brain as You Age is packed full of fascinating information about how the brain works and how to keep it tuned up and functioning its best for a lifetime.
Simpson works with both the Alzheimer and MS (multiple sclerosis) societies and is the developer of the Body, Mind, and Movement Program for brain fitness.
Throughout the evening she will share numerous practical tips for creating a healthy and vibrant lifestyle. Simpson also runs fitness and tap-dancing classes at the Eden Mills Hall.
She has donated this presentation.
Admission is free and she asked that any donations received be dedicated to the Eden Mills Community Hall Energy Retrofit.
The Community Club is raising funds to match its Canada 150 contribution.
By March 2018, the 100-year-old Hall will be effectively carbon neutral, organizers state.
